Books I Own - Historical Novels
I enjoy reading historical fiction, not that the history is fiction! These books are fictional stories based on historical events.
Some of these are still on my reading list, others I just couldn't wait to read.
"A Room Made of Leaves" By Kate Grenville is the most recent book I have read, or at least, had read to me. I purchased this book on audible as an audiobook and listened on my way to and from work. The narration was brilliant, I highly recommend getting the Audible version! I just loved this book and can't speak highly enough of it.
It is the story of Elizabeth Macarthur based on a fictional memoir. It is also based on the real letters of Elizabeth Macarthur and reading between the lines. Please, please read the description of the book on her page below. You will be seduced into reading it :)

"Benevolence" by Julie Janson is another on my reading list. I had to mention this in conjunction with the book above as I heard an interview with these two authors and while one is the story of settlement the other is the flip side and the story of the Aboriginal people. I was hoping this might also appear on Audible but I might have to purchase it and find time to read it myself.

"The Last Convict" by Anthony Hill was one that I stumbled on in Big W, and I thought it might be a good read. I have just started reading this but have been distracted by other things. You can read a few pages of this book at the link below.
